Live Punto Banco: Baccarat With a Real Dealer

Live punto banco lets you play baccarat with a real dealer and real cards, streamed to your screen. It combines the atmosphere of a casino table with the convenience of playing online. This page explains how it works.

How it works

A dealer deals cards from a shoe in a studio, filmed by several cameras. You place your bets on the screen within a short betting window. The cards are read automatically and winning bets are settled straight away. The game follows the standard rules explained in punto banco rules.

Popular live variants

• Classic live baccarat: standard pace, often with scorecards showing earlier results.
• Speed baccarat: shorter betting windows and faster rounds.
• Squeeze baccarat: the dealer slowly reveals some cards for extra suspense.
• No-commission tables: the banker bet pays without the usual commission, but with an adjusted payout in certain situations.

Scorecards and road maps

Live tables often show the results of earlier rounds in grids called road maps. They can make the game look like it follows patterns, but every round is independent. Past results do not predict the next one.

What to check before you play

• Minimum and maximum bets.
• Whether the banker bet carries a commission or uses a no-commission rule.
• Side bet payouts, which usually have a higher house edge. See banker, player and tie bets.

Play responsibly

Live baccarat can be fast, especially in speed variants. Decide in advance how long you will play and how much you will spend, and use the limit tools of a licensed casino. Read more in responsible play.

Gambling is for adults (18+) only.
